Alternative Tradition is a brand focussing on tattoo inspired clothing. We are currently in the processing of creating a range of alternative and sensory friendly clothing.

Nope! Unless you don't like being comfortable. We want to be as inclusive as possible and our clothing is designed to be suitable for as many people as possible.

Sensory friendly is designed to accommodate anyone who experiences sensory processing difficulties. These can be experienced as a result of Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, ADD, ADHD as well as other conditions. Sensory-friendly clothing is designed to be more suitable for anyone who has to struggle with sensory processing or has any sensory sensitivities. Sensory friendly clothing usually has no tags, has flat seams and is a looser fit. As seams and tags can irritate and cause sensory overload, breathable fabrics such as cotton can be a better choice. There is obviously no one size fits all solution, and some people may find that they have alternative needs but these are the most common issues faced with clothing.

We have tried and tested a lot (and I mean a lot!) of t-shirts to find something that we feel is sensory friendly. The t-shirts we print on are 100% cotton and are amazingly soft. They are lightweight but not so thin that they feel like they're going to fall apart. They have minimal seams, yes not none because it's hard to make sensory friendly tshirts without having some kind of stitching. There are seams underneath the sleeves of the t-shirt but they are not scratchy and have caused no discomfort on testing. No Tags! Who wants the constant reminder of a tag scratching the back of their neck whilst trying to go about their day.
